We're so close to winning next Monday. Help us get there!
The whole country is starting to take note of the exciting races in Calgary and Victoria - why? Because in both, a Green is within reach of winning.
Last week, I emailed you with important news about our efforts in next week's by-elections, and asked for your help in putting us over the top on November 26th.
Your response has been overwhelming. Since last Wednesday, weekday phone calling has gone up by 70 percent, and weekend calling has skyrocketed by a whopping 560 percent! Your help to date is making a difference!
I have more exciting news to share! A new poll came out Sunday night, and Chris Turner is closing the gap in Calgary Centre with 25 percent. With only a week before election day, we are within the margin of error of taking the lead, with the momentum squarely on our side. Coupled with Donald Galloway's strong 26 percent in Victoria, we're on a roll!
Don't take my word for it. The president of Forum Research, Dr. Lorne Bozinoff, said, "These findings show us the Conservatives are in real trouble in Calgary Centre...Chris Turner may yet have room to grow his share of the vote". How exciting is that?!
But I still need your help: I want to see Chris Turner and Donald Galloway in the House of Commons with Elizabeth May on November 27th. It can be done, but we need many more people willing to give a few hours of time, and make some phone calls over the next 6 days.
Don't forget my offer–the riding which makes the most calls between my first email and election day will receive a personal contribution from me for $500. It doesn't matter where your riding is in the country. I will write the cheque on November 27th and have it in the mail that same day.
It's been an awe inspiring experience to see Elizabeth in action in Parliament for the last year and a half, and she has done us all proud. Imagine... just imagine her with two fellow MPs on November 27th. Because of you, this is within our grasp. With your help for a few more days, we can do this!
