Toronto 2010
The Green Party of Canada has never had a convention in Toronto. All that's changing. The Fedreal Council has voted to hold the next general meeting in Toronto and Toronto Greens are already hard at work planning for the event.
They're looking at traditional arrangements (venue, speakers, etc.) as well as new ideas like hosting an organic food fair and farmers’ market on site for delegates to purchase their own snacks, lunches, and dinners.
If you'd like to get involved with convention planning, just contact Stephen LaFrenie (Green Party of Canada candidate in Trinity-Spadina) or Federal Council's Ontario Representative, Camille Labchuk, who is also a member of the Convention Committee.

Getting Closer
When the GPC has the convention in Winnipeg I will be even happier. Toronto will do a wonderful job, but I am 2 hours from WPG. Good Luck to all involved.
Thanks for posting this Catherine
To Scott and others outside Ontario. Inclusiveness is the key and we are working to make the Toronto convention as accessible as possible. This will include discussing ways of easing the financial difficulty of travel plus having interactive web presence so people can participate in workshops or debates. I will be equally exciting to have a convention in Winnipeg because it's a great city.
For those who have suggestions on guest speakers, ways to accomplish the web interactive sections then please contact us. We have set up a google email address for convention organizing. Please send your ideas to;

or as Catherine suggests, Camille Labchuk our Ontario rep on FC and the convention oversight committee.
Thanks everyone and I look forward to hearing from you.
