Highlights:
President and CEO of two environmental not-for-profits;
Founder of three Canadian NGO's;
Former candidate in 2010 by-election and 41st general election.
My uncompromising commitment to environmental, humanitarian and social justice issues led me to found two successful Canadian non-profits, with chapters in over 71 cities across Canada. Through my commitment and dedication to a sustainable and healthful life for every one, I have learned to pick up new skills quickly, and to embrace leadership while activly inviting other partners to contribute to our shared goals and commitment for a better world.
As CEO of the Green Party of Vaughan, I launched the Women's club of Vaughan, as articled in our constitution, with the mission of providing a positive space for women to enter and contribute to politics. Our first meeting was held on December 18, 2010 with a robust and diverse attendance, witness to the Green Party's commitment to diversity and leadership.
I ran as a candidate in the federal by-election of 2010 in my home riding of Vaughan, and soon afterwards in the 41st general election of 2011. I brought to the forefront my commitment to community, sustainability, and justice by executing a truly grassroots campaign and engendring the generous donations of voters to real and tangible community benefits where we could be seen whle making a positive inpact. These included clean-ups, tree-planting, and low impact online teleconferences.
I have also been responsible for writing the policies you voted for in the 2010 biennial convention. These included the olympic games, ban on fluoridation products, the Robin Hood tax, The preacuationary principle, and the Bank of Canada policy. All were green lighted by you, and are now in the proud and shared heritage of our constitution.
As President of the Green Party of Canada, I will remain faithful and optimistic to the challenges we face while working with you to realize our shared vision and responsibility for a better world.
